This morning young people from the capital performed the traditional guard of honor before the monument that houses the ashes of Julio Antonio Mella - eternal student leader, founder of the University Student Federation, of the "Alma Mater" Magazine, the "José Martí" University and the first Communist Party of Cuba - at the foot of the steps of the University of Havana.
Later, the students and young people moved to what was the headquarters of the 1st National Student Congress, the famous Aula Magna of the University of Havana, where they read the last letter that Mella addressed to his partner Tina Modotti. The culture and voice of our young people rose again.
Within the framework of this event, the card was handed out that accredits new militants in the communist ranks, among whom are representatives of the #CustomsYouth.
