To follow up on the recent recommendations of the World Health Organization in the face of the current increase in COVID-19 and other acute respiratory diseases in the world, and to be attentive to the behavior of new diseases, called the President of the Republic, Miguel Díaz-Canel Bermúdez.
The first meeting of 2024 between the president, the Prime Minister, Manuel Marrero Cruz, and scientists and experts on Health issues, a systematic practice of the country's leadership that has been going on for almost four years, was dedicated to the now famous Jusvinza, molecule obtained by scientists from the Center for Genetic Engineering and Biotechnology (CIGB) and which was "one of the workhorses" of Cuba's successful fight against COVID-19.
This time the topic was "Jusvinza as an innovative medicine for the treatment of rheumatoid arthritis and diseases mediated by hyperinflammation."
