As of this Wednesday, July 28, the non-commercial importation of photovoltaic systems, their parts and pieces, by natural persons is authorized.
In accordance with Resolution 206/2021 published in the Official Gazette of the Republic, such importation is exempt from taxes as it passes through customs.

It adds that in order to continue with the development of renewable energy sources and increase its participation in the electric power generation matrix in the national territory, it is necessary to approve the importation by individuals of photovoltaic systems, their parts and pieces.
According to the document, photovoltaic solar energy is considered the electrical energy obtained by the direct transformation of sunlight into electricity.
