On July 11, 2021, most of the world's media reflected the "state of chaos" existing in Cuba and the "civic protests" of the "people" against the revolutionary government. The hours of socialism, according to them, "were numbered on the Island."
Never before has the manipulation of truth reached such a magnitude. The coordination of the corporate press in its actions against a country "enemy of the United States." broke all records. Shame and ethics were stored "until further notice" in the deep pockets of those who believe they own the world.
As befits a well-constructed plot, it all started much earlier. During the last days of June 2021, the campaign of fear and demonization against the Cuban Revolution increased strongly on social networks, articulated with counterrevolutionary digital media.
The Internet Operational Group created in February 2018 synchronized the arsenal of media, sites and digital assassins created or bought to generate chaos, uncertainty and fear in the population of the Greater Antilles.
The events of July 11 were part of a larger plan by the White House, which included taking more severe action against Cuba, after the “failure”, proclaimed by the extreme right, of the policy followed by Barack Obama.
It was a true shock therapy aimed at discouraging any resolution of resistance and breaking the faith of the Cubans.
An important part of the plan was to start “warming up the street” – as the Gene Sharp manual indicates with absolute precision – with actions such as those that occurred in the San Isidro neighborhood, or such as the provocations in front of the Ministry of Culture and other institutions.
According to the calculations of the authors and sponsors, everything was ready: with the millions earmarked for subversion they paid mercenaries, cyber hit men and criminals, and tried to repeat the script of Iran and Bolivia in 2019, they took to the streets to destroy, to provoke, to fabricate the pretext that would justify the major action, the "humanitarian" intervention of the US army.
As soon as the actions began, the "demonstrators" received public and notorious support from US legislators, political operators of the anti-Cuban mafia, and the media.
They were actions plotted and paid for from Washington, which had high technology. The counterrevolutionaries acted taking advantage of the discontent caused by the blackouts, the shortages and the fear of the increase in the cases of COVID-19.
The answer was immediate. As on so many occasions when the Homeland needed its sons and daughters, the revolutionaries, in exercise of the right and duty established by our Constitution, following the historical tradition of the nation, came out to defend the Revolution throughout the length and breadth of our country, and defeated the counterrevolutionary attempt.
