The Balance Assembly of the Provincial Committee of the Communist Party of Cuba in Las Tunas, takes place in this city, chaired by Miguel Díaz-Canel Bermúdez, first secretary of the Central Committee of the PCC and President of the Republic.

René Pérez Gallego, first secretary of the political organization in the territory, reads a summary of the balance report, in which he highlights the critical position on the problems that have not yet been resolved and the proposals for measures to find a solution.
Roberto Morales Ojeda, member of the Political Bureau and secretary of organization of the PCC, is also at the meeting, in which food production, the sugar cane program and the situation of the services provided to the population.
