In the afternoon hours of today at the Central Body of the General Customs of the Republic, the first meeting with the media of this year 2022 was held, in which all sanitary measures were respected when entering the institution and in the room where it took place. The meeting was chaired by the Head of the Cuban Customs, Nelson Cordovés Reyes.
Also participating on behalf of the entity were Vice Chiefs of the AGR: William Pérez González and José Luis Muñoz Toca, as well as the General Director of Management Processes Maidelis Rodríguez Méndez, the Director of Attention to the Population Arnaldo Comas Acevedo, Nilexis Velez Garcia and Dayle Rodríguez Cañete Specialists for Customs Development, members of the Department of Institutional Communication.
The meeting began with a cordial welcome from the Head of Customs to the guests, thanking them for their presence and reiterating our entire willingness as an institution to always inform.
The speakers, on this occasion, were the Director of Risk Management and Control, Yosvany Bárceras González, who addressed the topic: Evaluation of the confrontation with drugs and illegal activities associated with flora and fauna, and the General Director of Customs Processes, Yamila Martínez. Morales, who shared the topic referred to the impact Main actions implemented to facilitate the clearance of travelers and cargo across the border.
The invited media were the Cuban News Agency, the Cuban Television Information System, Granma Newspaper and Juventud Rebelde.

To conclude, the customs chief held an exchange with the media, highlighting the work that is being carried out in conjunction with the recently created AIRCOP Office, which is a fortress for confronting organized crime. Continue promoting Zero Tolerance to Drugs is a priority.
