Nicolás Maduro Moros was sworn in this Friday, in the National Assembly of Venezuela, in Caracas, to serve his third consecutive term as president of the nation.
The oath was taken on a copy of the Bolivarian Constitution signed by Commander Hugo Chávez.
Maduro said: “I will enforce all the obligations of the Constitution and the laws of the Republic. This new presidential period will be the period of peace, prosperity, equality and new democracy.”
After being sworn in as constitutional president of Venezuela, he received the presidential sash and the necklace with the keys to the ark that keeps the constitutional records from the president of the National Assembly, Jorge Rodríguez.
