The testimony of Ernesto González Campos, at 91 years old, and with his particular way of telling it, transports us on that journey through time to relive the events of July 26, 1953, attached document. This hero of medium height and firm gaze, better known to all as “Palillo” in the cast of the Globe of Calabazar, in the Havana municipality of Boyeros, narrated some moments of the day.

.....Visibly moved, Ernesto's message to the new generations was infallible:

“To the youth, think carefully about who were those who died, that they were young people like them, that they did not want oppression in our country, and that today we cannot think of anyone coming to govern us…, this is our country, we defend it to the last drop of blood.

We have a very great experience called Fidel Castro. He taught us how to do things to succeed, to carry this Revolution forward. Thanks to him we are here today, he gave us the light that illuminated the path to follow, and it is the same path to continue”.

LONG LIVE JULY 26

LONG LIVE THE CUBAN REVOLUTION

COUNTRY OR DEATH

OVERCOME.
