With the presence of Miguel Díaz-Canel, First Secretary of the Central Committee of the Communist Party of Cuba (PCC) and President of the Republic, today for the first time in the province of Santiago de Cuba the recognition "With all, the victory" was awarded to 20 outstanding Santiago de Cuba in the economic and social development of the territory.
The distinction was granted by the provincial government in the context of the activities for the 70th anniversary of the assault on the Moncada and Carlos Manuel de Céspedes barracks, in a solemn act in the Stained Glass Hall of the Plaza de la Revolución Mayor General Antonio Maceo, in this city.
As part of the event, President Díaz-Canel inaugurated a digital model that recreates the actions of Maceo (1845-1896), the Bronze Titan, in the wars for Cuban independence.
