The president of Venezuela, Nicolás Maduro, today concluded the XXIV Summit of Heads of State and Government of the Bolivarian Alliance for the Peoples of Our America-People's Trade Treaty (ALBA-TCP) on December 14.
This summit commemorated the 20 years of the birth of the Latin American and Caribbean integration bloc, and paid fair tribute to the founders of this strategic alliance: commanders Hugo Chávez (1954-2013) and Fidel Castro (1926-2016).
The leaders, prime ministers and other authorities approved several documents as a special declaration of “reaffirmation of the principles, objectives, commitments and banners of struggle of the ALBA-TCP, twenty years after its founding.”
