The president of the Correos de Cuba Business Group, Pablo Julio Pla Feria, checked the behavior of international parcel operations, which continue to arrive in the country in significant numbers.
It transpired during the tour that the plants of the International Exchange Office of the Courier Company carry out a reorganization of work shifts, with the aim of achieving greater efficiency in the operational processes of shipments and in their departure to the different territories of the country.
According to a note published on the website of Correos de Cuba, the director also verified the organizational and assurance processes developed by the entity to start cross-border electronic commerce before the end of this year.
The new activity will include the marketing, representation, storage, management and distribution of purchases to online stores, through alliances with other entities.
In addition, it will be able to promote the import and export of products through the systems and processes of the postal organization, which will be offered inside and outside the country by foreign and national suppliers, the source refers.
The director of Marketing and Business of Correos de Cuba, Liber Labrada Suárez, commented on the actions for the implementation of this type of electronic commerce.
The information adds that directors and officials of the Business Group, the International Courier and Exchange Companies and General Assurance of the postal organization, and the Postal and Shipping Customs also participated in the check.
