Verifying the progress of the essential assurances for the start, before the end of the year, of cross-border electronic commerce, was one of the objectives of the checkup carried out on international parcel services, by the president of the Correos de Cuba Business Group, Pablo Julio Pla Fair.
In relation to this in particular, at the meeting it was learned that this new service will allow marketing, representation, storage, management and distribution of purchases to online businesses, through alliances with other entities.
The service is also expected to promote the import and export of products through the systems and processes of the postal organization, which will be offered inside and outside the country by foreign and national suppliers, according to a note published in the website of the Ministry of Communications.
The checkup, logically, also evaluated the organizational processes that are carried out to increase efficiency in relation to work with parcels that are received from abroad in significant quantities.
An example of this could be seen in a tour of the plants of the International Exchange Office of the Courier Company, where a reorganization of work shifts is carried out, which guarantees better order and agility in the operational processes of shipments. and in its departure to the different territories of the country.
Let us remember that due to the importance of this service and the dissatisfaction of the population in this regard, it has been constantly monitored by the country's highest authorities, especially by the member of the Political Bureau of the Party and Prime Minister, Manuel Marrero Cruz.
