Authorities of the Mexican Institute of Social Security (IMSS), together with the Decentralized Public Body (OPD) IMSS-Wellbeing and the Ministry of Health of the Republic of Cuba held a working meeting to strengthen ties of cooperation in health matters.
The general director of Social Security, Zoé Robledo, highlighted that the link between Mexico and the Republic of Cuba allowed the arrival of brigades of specialist Cuban doctors.
Robledo pointed out that, through the agreement between the federal government and the Ministry of Health of Cuba, the aim is to expand to 1,200 specialist doctors who work in medical units and hospitals of the Decentralized Public Body (OPD) IMSS-Wellbeing in areas of difficult coverage. of the 23 states that adopted the federalization process.
