The president of the Communist Party of Russia, Gennady A. Zyuganov, received this Wednesday the Order of Solidarity granted by the Government of Cuba approved by presidential decree.
The headquarters of the Cuban embassy in Moscow constituted the favorable setting for the political leader to be invested with such a high state decoration by the ambassador of the Caribbean nation in Russian territory, Julio Garmendía.
"Cuba and we Cubans recognize in Zyuganov a true patriot of his time, a friend in every test and a defender of the Cuban Revolution, which he has accompanied and protected without hesitation," the diplomat stated at the ceremony.
