Cuba updated its regulations for the reception of merchandise arriving in the country as part of international cooperation programs, the Granma newspaper reported today.
The General Customs of the Republic changed the requirements and conditions that organizations, entities and companies must meet for the formalization of international shipments before that institution through resolution 14 of this year, which introduces the simplification of the documents to be presented and the procedures that must be carried out by those who participate in the process.
With the new regulations, the entities designated to carry out the formalization of donations must deliver to Customs, among other documents, a printed or digital approval text as well as a sworn statement that certifies that the goods to be imported are contained in the international cooperation projects.
