In the political-cultural act, held in the El Laguito Protocol Room, five members received the Mariana Grajales Order - the highest distinction awarded by the organization -, 18 the Ana Betancourt Order and seven the August 23 distinction.
The decorations were delivered by the Cuban president; by Roberto Morales Ojeda, member of the Political Bureau and Secretary of Organization of the Central Committee of the Party; by Inés María Chapman, Vice Prime Minister of the Republic, and by Teresa Amarelle Boué, Secretary General of the organization that will celebrate its 63rd anniversary on August 23.
Rosmery Santiesteban Lago, second secretary of the FMC, recalled the figure of Commander in Chief Fidel Castro Ruz, the main promoter of the creation of the Federation together with the heroine Vilma Espín.
