A warm hug was the first note of the courtesy meeting that, from the Palace of the Revolution, took place this Wednesday afternoon between the President of the Republic of Cuba, Miguel Díaz-Canel Bermúdez, and His Excellency Simbarashe Mumbengegwi, Secretary of International Relations of the Zimbabwe African National Union Party-Patriotic Front (ZANU-PF).
“We are very grateful that you receive us,” said the visiting friend who has arrived on the Island as Special Envoy of the President of the Republic of Zimbabwe in the first moments of the exchange. To him, the First Secretary of the Central Committee of the Communist Party of Cuba expressed that it is a pleasure to be able to see him and serve him along with the other members of the delegation who accompany him.
The Head of State shared with the important African leader his gratitude to the Government and the friendly people, for “all the support that Cuba has received from you in the fight against the blockade”; and also for the support to remove Cuba from the list of countries supposedly sponsoring terrorism.
