ELIMINATE MANDATORY QUARANTINE MEASURE FOR TRAVELERS FROM AFRICAN COUNTRIES

The Cuban Ministry of Public Health reports that it has been decided to modify the international health control measures related to COVID-19. For this reason, the mandatory quarantine is eliminated for travelers from South Africa, Lesotho, Botswana, Zimbabwe, Mozambique, Namibia, Malawi and Eswatini (formerly Swaziland), who, like the rest of the passengers and crew, will comply with the mandatory present at the point of entry the negative result of a PCR-RT to SARS-CoV-2 carried out up to 72 hours before traveling to Cuba and the vaccination certificate against covid-19 of vaccines approved by any of the corresponding regulatory agencies.

The rest of the international sanitary control measures established at the points of entry to Cuba remain unchanged.

This measure will take effect from 12:00 a.m. on February 16, 2022.
