Today we celebrate an important milestone in the history of this specialty, created by the historical leader of the Cuban Revolution, Fidel Castro Ruz, on January 24, 1961, in Tropas Guarda Frontera. Since that time, this department has played a fundamental role in ensuring the safety and security of our country and its people.
During these 63 years, we have witnessed how trained dogs have demonstrated a valuable contribution in the detection of drugs, weapons and explosives, as well as in the search and rescue of people in disaster situations. Their outstanding work has been recognized both nationally and internationally, becoming leaders in the field of canine technique.
The dedication and commitment of the men and women who make up this department have been fundamental to its success. Their daily work, together with the constant training and updating of techniques and strategies, has allowed us to have a team of highly trained specialists who perform invaluable work in the security of our nation.
On this anniversary, we want to express our most sincere recognition and gratitude to all the members of the Canine Technique Department of the Ministry of the Interior. Your dedication and sacrifice deserve the highest recognition, and are an example to follow for all of us who serve our country.
On behalf of the Cuban people, we congratulate all those who have been part of this specialty throughout these 63 years. Your tireless work has contributed to forging a solid and respected institution, whose legacy will endure over time.
May this new anniversary be a cause for joy and celebration, and may they continue to achieve success in their noble mission of guaranteeing the safety and protection of our beloved Cuba.
