Miguel Díaz-Canel Bermúdez, first secretary of the Central Committee of the Communist Party of Cuba (PCC) and President of the Republic, today attends the balance assembly in this city, which brings together more than 200 delegates and focuses the debates on issues of high priority for the territory.
Roberto Morales Ojeda, member of the Political Bureau and secretary of organization, Rogelio Polanco Fuentes, member of the secretariat and Head of the ideological department, and Commander José Ramón Machado Ventura, are also present at the conclave that reviews the implementation of ideas, concepts and guidelines of the eighth Party Congress.
Liván Izquierdo Alonso, first secretary of the Provincial Committee of the Party shares with the plenary a summary of the report that, with a critical spirit, analyzes a difficult stage characterized by the resurgence of the blockade and the crisis caused by the pandemic.
On his Twitter social network account, Díaz-Canel stated early that "we will be there, evaluating the work of partisan militancy in the province during a challenging period."
