The outgoing ambassador of Palestine in Cuba, Akram Mohammad Samhan, was awarded this Monday with the Medal of Friendship at the headquarters of the Cuban Ministry of Foreign Affairs.

The distinction, presented by the interim Minister of Foreign Affairs, Gerardo Peñalver Portal, on behalf of the Cuban president, is a recognition of Samhan's contribution to strengthening bilateral relations.

The Vice Minister of Foreign Affairs, Josefina Vidal Ferreiro, highlighted the consolidation of relations between Cuba and Palestine under the management of Ambassador Samhan and his diplomatic mission.
