The customs with the objective of simplifying procedures regarding the procedures for the formalization of the goods that arrive as part of the international cooperation that Cuba receives enters into force on February 18, Resolution No. 14, of February 2, 2022, of the Head of the General Customs of the Republic (GOO No. 17) where requirements and conditions are established for the customs processing of these goods.
The most significant aspects are:
1. The document that approves the punctual donation is addressed to the Head of the Customs Office and is presented by the designated entity, as part of the complementary documents of the Goods Declaration, at the time of formalization of the goods that arrive as donations. .
2. Only documents approving specific donations are sent to the Head of the General Customs of the Republic, in case of emergency or disasters that occur in the country, issued by the Minister of Foreign Trade and Foreign Investment.
3. The Affidavit that certifies that the goods to be imported are contemplated within the international cooperation project that Cuba receives will be signed by the head of the project.
4. The donations for cooperation projects that Cuba receives, the punctual ones and those received in case of emergency or disaster, as well as the soft credits of cooperation with the objective of providing the corresponding statistics of this activity, are coded.
