A space to promote the commercial interests of the country

the 38th International Fair of Havana (Fihav 2022) constitutes a space to promote the National Economic and Social Development Plan of the country, especially those projects registered in the macro-program of productive transformation and international insertion, said yesterday Antonio Carricarte Corona, president of the Cuban Chamber of Commerce.

He stressed that there is a marked interest in participating in this conclave, the largest in the region of a multisectoral type, which returns after two years, due to COVID-19.

So far, he stressed, some 400 companies from more than 60 countries, and 170 national companies, with representation from the main entities of goods and services in the country, have confirmed their presence in this commercial exchange (from November 14 to 18). cooperatives and micro, small and medium enterprises. 30 delegations from Chambers of Commerce will attend.

Carricarte Corona expressed that it is intended to give visibility to priority sectors for the Island, such as food, agriculture, industry in general, tourism, education, transportation, construction and the Mariel Special Development Zone.

The 5th Foreign Investment Forum will be held at Fihav, in which Cuba will present the Portfolio of Business Opportunities, updated with the new policies, a panel on opportunities aimed at Cubans residing abroad who wish to invest in the country, and the presentation of Cuba as the venue for the Expo Aladi 2023 Multisectoral Business Roundtable.
