
This Wednesday, the XXIII Summit of Heads of State and Government of the countries that are part of the Bolivarian Alliance for the Peoples of Our America-People's Trade Treaty (ALBA-TCP) began in the city of Caracas, an integrationist bloc founded in 2004 by the then presidents of Cuba and Venezuela, Fidel Castro and Hugo Chávez.
The host head of state, Nicolás Maduro, welcomed the presidents, prime ministers and high-level officials attending at the Miraflores Palace: Daniel Ortega (Nicaragua), Miguel Díaz-Canel (Cuba) and Luis Arce (Bolivia) , the heads of Government Gaston Browne (Antigua and Barbuda), Ralph Gonsalves (Saint Vincent and the Grenadines), Roosevelt Skerrit (Dominica) and Phillip J. Pierre (Saint Lucia), as well as the Foreign Minister of Grenada, Joseph Andall, and the ambassador of Saint Kitts and Nevis, Norgen Wilson.
