Once again the people of the capital experienced today, in the faces of other young people, the triumphant entry of the Freedom Caravan to Havana, 66 years after that historic event led by Commander in Chief Fidel Castro Ruz.
The flags, the songs, the slogans, the effusive greetings and the horns of the trucks marked the reissue of that caravan that, on January 8, 1959, traveled through several arteries of the city to Ciudad Libertad, formerly the Columbia Military Camp. .
During today's journey there were some stops, such as at the Julio Antonio Mella Base Business Unit and the Guido Pérez Brewery and Parque 9 de Abril, in Cotorro, la Virgen del Camino, in the San Miguel del Padrón municipality, as well as the old navy building and the Museum of the Revolution, in the Historic Center, and the corner of 23 and M in the capital's Vedado.
