From the Sierra Maestra, the future pillars of the defense of the Cuban Revolution began to be organized: the Revolutionary Armed Forces, derived from the Rebel Army itself; the National Revolutionary Police and State Security, with a background in the Rebel Intelligence Service (SIR); the Intelligence Department of the Rebel Army (DIER), and the Rebel Police. The Ministry of the Interior was born from them in 1961, made up of men and women of silent color who on many occasions from anonymity dedicated their efforts and best years to safeguarding the dreams of an entire people. On this day, I send my sincere congratulations on behalf of #CubaCustoms to our police officers, firefighters, border guards, experts, criminalists, criminal instructors, investigators, officers for child care, prisons, investigative techniques, and the Security Bodies of the State.
To the students, cadets, teachers, civilian workers and other members of the Ministry of the Interior, whose strength #DefendiendoCuba is #LaFuerzaDelPueblo.
