Through his Twitter account, the head of government said that although "the work of the freight forwarders is progressing steadily", there is still an important group of claims to be resolved.
He indicated that a computerization process will be carried out to continue increasing the quality of services.
The headline, in another message on the social network, pointed out that there is an increase in parcel shipments from abroad with the new measures adopted to make non-commercial imports of natural persons more flexible and the modification of tariffs.
On August 15, new legislation came into force that defined the non-commercial nature of miscellaneous goods by their value and weight and by the diversity of articles, instead of doing it by physical quantities as was the case previously.
Based on the regulations, the quantities of some articles to be imported by natural persons were increased and the quantity of products exempt from payment increased from 1.5 kilograms (kg) to 3.0, for those items to which the weight value.
