On April 22, the Annual Balance of #CubaCustoms was held, which was chaired by Prime Minister Manuel Marrero Cruz.
In the event -in which the country's customs units participated by videoconference- the results obtained by the institution during 2022 were reported, the year in which 4 million 826 776 passengers transited through our borders and 4 million 854 647 clearances were made. which 93% corresponded to the shipping route.
The actions of the customs officers allowed the detection of 17,354 infractions of which more than 1,000 correspond to the security line and another 149 with illegal drugs (highlighting 17 frustrated international traffic operations) elements exposed by the Head of the General Customs of the Republic Nelson Cordovés Reyes.
For his part, the Prime Minister expressed in his speech the recognition of the work of the customs officers, pointing out the need to continue improving the work of the institution, pay special attention to the concerns of the population and give the appropriate response from the sensitivity that it requires.
He ended his words with a congratulations on behalf of the highest leadership of the country.
