The President of Cuba, Miguel Díaz-Canel, called today to build, between the countries of Latin America and the Caribbean and the European Union (EU), better relations based on respectful and honest dialogue, and leaving threats and impositions.
In the plenary session of the III Community of Latin American and Caribbean States (Celac) – EU Summit, which is in session from this Monday until today in Brussels, Belgium, the Cuban president stressed that the principles of sovereign equality must be respected in all circumstances. and non-interference in the internal affairs of countries.
Respect for the inalienable right of each country to decide its own political, economic and social system must prevail in relations, without the imposition of alleged cultural, democratic and human rights paradigms.
The Cuban head of state warned that the financial policies of the EU continue to impose barriers to the development of Latin America and the Caribbean, and urged the search for solutions to problems such as foreign debt and migration.
