The world has continued to oppose the US blockade against Cuba, as shown by the results of the votes at the UN that have been held annually since 1992.
The right to development in Cuba is limited by the negative effects of the blockade. Sectors such as biotechnology, tourism, transportation, mining, health, food, renewable energy, telecommunications, among others, have suffered considerable losses due to this unfair policy.
We will never get tired of denouncing the blockade that the United States exercises over our country, because for more than 60 years it has affected the lives of our people in all possible spheres.
We denounce it because we will never be indifferent to any form of violence or injustice against any people in the world and, in this case, they are being exercised against ours.
We denounce it for its imperialist character, because it does not only affect Cuba or the Cubans who live on the Island, it affects many everywhere.
And the most important thing about this repeated complaint is that it receives the support of the world. For this reason, we will not tire of thanking all the countries that at the United Nations reaffirm their position against the blockade year after year, as well as all the governments, social movements, collectives, organizations and people who offer us their solidarity, raise their voices and Join us in this fight for life and hope.
