Ramon Labañino, one of the so-called "Five Heroes" of Cuba, was born on June 9, 1963 in the city of Batabanó, located in the province of Mayabeque in Cuba. Labañino graduated as an electronic engineer in 1988 and later worked in a company Cuban state.
