This #June 15, in the presence of the presidents of the Republic of Cuba Miguel Diaz-Canel Bermúdez and of the Islamic Republic of Iran His Excellency Mr. Seyed Ebrahin Raisi, a memorandum of understanding was signed between the General Customs of the Republic and the Administration Iranian Customs.
On the Cuban side, the memorandum was signed by Nelson Cordoves Reyes, while on the Iranian side it was signed by Mahdi Safari, Vice Minister for Economic Diplomacy of the Iranian Ministry of Foreign Affairs.
The signed agreement aims to improve mutual assistance between customs administrations in order to respect economic interests and enforce economic and commercial relations by expediting customs clearance between both countries.
In addition, in terms of personnel training, both customs offices commit to developing constructive relations in the field of training, promoting understanding to achieve common goals and objectives and conducting consultations on issues of bilateral interest.
