The Ministry of Finance and Prices announced that through Resolution 311, of September 27, 2024, the minister of the sector Vladimir Regueiro approved to extend, until January 31 of this year, the tariff benefit of the payment of the customs tax on imports without commercial nature of food, hygiene, medicines and medical supplies, through passengers, as accompanied luggage, with no import value limit. The same treatment was applied to the non-commercial import carried out by natural persons of electric plants (Resolution 312 of 2024).
Taking into account that the circumstances that motivated this measure persist, it has been decided to extend the term of the aforementioned tariff benefits for the non-commercial importation of food, hygiene, medicines and medical supplies, through passengers as accompanied baggage, as well as power plants, until April 30, 2025.
