“Commander of the Revolution Juan Almeida would be 95 years old today. Juan of the humble, Juan of the founders, Juan of the rebels, Juan of the eternals of the #Revolution. "There's no giving up here". #AlmeidaVive”, wrote the head of state.
The Prime Minister, Manuel Marrero, regarding the date, pointed out on the same social network that the people of Cuba will always remember the Commander of the Revolution, and will continue to be faithful to his legacy.
“Juan Almeida Bosque, Commander of the Cuban Revolution, would arrive #Today on his 95th birthday. The people of #Cuba will always remember him and will continue to be faithful to his legacy, always making it clear that #AquíNoSeRindeNobody”, he tweeted.
This Wednesday, in the Universal Hall of the Revolutionary Armed Forces, a tribute to Juan Almeida Bosque took place, in which the Cuban president, Miguel Díaz-Canel, participated.

During that period Mario Muñoz led the Third Front, in which, in addition to the six thousand square kilometers that it covered, he won the love of the inhabitants.
After the triumph of the Revolution in 1959, he held numerous responsibilities as a member of the Political Bureau of the Central Committee of the Communist Party of Cuba since its foundation in 1965, vice president of the Council of State and president of the Association of Combatants.
In addition to his revolutionary work, he also had a prolific musical and literary body of work, including more than 300 musical pieces and nine books.
On September 11, 2009, Juan Almeida Bosque died in Havana as a result of a cardio-respiratory arrest.
