
Havana, Cuba.- At the II Meeting of Women Directors of the General Customs of the Republic (AGR), held at the National School of Customs Training, the empowerment achieved by women was highlighted, who constitute a driving force within the customs sector .
In the meeting held by video conference for the entire country, which was attended by 100 participants, were Norberto Ramos Montano, Vice Head of Department of the Central Committee of the Communist Party of Cuba, Anielka Fernández, member of the National Secretariat of the Federation of Cuban Women (FMC), Miguel Mario Cabrera Castellanos, Head of the Directorate of State and Government Cadres, Nelson Cordobés Reyes, Head of the AGR and Dr. Aleida Guevara March, daughter of Commander Ernesto Che Guevara.
During the event, topics such as Communication in the Management of Customs Processes, Women's motivation to occupy management positions in the AGR, and the Role of young women in management work were exposed.
On the occasion, the imposition of epaulettes was made on colleagues who were recently promoted to management positions.
The Vice Head of Department of the Central Committee of the Norberto Ramos Montano Party, during the day, congratulated all the empowered women, highlighted the leading role of Customs in the country and recognized its staff for the important work they do, ratifying the support to the workers, whom he especially thanked and congratulated.
