In commemoration of the 172nd anniversary of the birth of the Cuban National Hero José Martí, the youth and the people came together to revive the emblematic march of the Centennial Generation, a milestone in history that took place seventy-two years ago.
Under the motto "An always young fire", the participants walked the traditional route from the steps of the University of Havana to the Fragua Martiana, a significant place where the young Martí lived moments of great sacrifice for his love of the country.
In the capital, the historic Torch March illuminated the streets, reminding the world of the validity of the apostle's ideas, his deep love for the country and the impact of his example, which continues to inspire new generations of Cubans.
